Red Bull Stratos is a mission to the edge of space that will try to surpass human limits that have existed for more than 50 years. Supported by a team of experts, Felix Baumgartner will undertake a stratospheric balloon flight to more than 120,000 feet / 36,576 meters and make a record-breaking freefall jump in the attempt to become the first man to break the speed of sound in freefall (an estimated 690 miles / 1,110 kilometers per hour), while delivering valuable data for medical and scientific advancement.

Wow what an experience, I can’t believe I just witnessed this and quite proud to say that I did.
Not saying that I watched through my fingers as his body tumbled and threw about like a rag doll, oh my word who knows what was going through in his head. Congratulations to him a part of history I will never forget
Wow what an experience to watch this thank you to meteor watch.org and NASA for showing this live.
I watched eagerly through the gaps of my fingers, this was the best thing since the moon landing, and to break world records also, a thrilling experience, we watched with my family both on the IPad and on BBC news, can’t wait to see what he says about his jump, and what he went through personally. Congratulations to all of you xxx
Absolutely nerve wrecking experience and absolutely thrilling, who knows what this man is feeling right now. Well done, the part when his body tumbled through out space I thought he would have broke every bone in his body I eagerly watched through the gaps of my fingers. Congratulations once again xxx
